Pumpkin Trade Sales from Mid-August
EN Coxhead will have pumpkins available for trade sale from mid-August, with varieties this year including Mammoth, Howden Biggie, Polar Bear and Warty Goblin.

Mammoth Pumpkins
Mammoth Pumpkins are orange-skinned with orange to yellow flesh. Their shape is an irregular globe, often flattening where it rests on the ground. They are Ideal for carving into Halloween lanterns, but beware – our Mammoth Pumpkins sometimes grow that large you might need help to pick one up!
Howden Biggie Pumpkins
Howden Biggie produces extra-large, rich-coloured orange pumpkins with a characteristic dark green stem. Thick flesh helps maintain the pumpkin’s uniform, upright shape and helps to keep them in top condition for a long time. Weighing in at up to 20kg, our Howden Biggie Pumpkins makes for a very impressive Halloween show.
Polar Bear Pumpkins
Polar Bear pumpkins are an unusual and distinctive ghostly white colour. They feature yellow-orange flesh and are the perfect Halloween talking point. Polar Bear pumpkins typically weigh over 15kg, have an upright, slightly ribbed shape, and retain their ghostly colour after maturity both in the field and in decorative displays.
Warty Goblin Pumpkins
Warty Goblin is a hard-shell, heavily-warted pumpkin which matures to bright orange, while its warts remain green for several weeks after harvest before turning yellow. Weighing in at anything up to 9kg, this hard-shell Pumpkin is more difficult to carve than a Mammoth, Howden Biggie or Polar Bear, but its warty complexion makes it the perfect Halloween spectacle.
