A favoured gift for Christmas and available in 10.5cm pots with 15 pots to a tray, Mini-Cyclamen bloom generously, displaying tiny, vibrant flowers and heart-shaped leaves.

Mini cyclamen make a good display whether left in the pot, or planted outside to make a winter bedding display. Ideally planted out in partial shade at 9 to 12 inch spacing, our mini cyclamen can add a splash colour to the garden when little else is flowering.

Proper watering of Mini-Cyclamen is critical, as they grow from a tuberous root that is prone to rot in soggy soil. So always wait to water until the soil feels reasonably dry, but don’t let the soil become so dry that the plant will wilt. Water the plant generously until water runs through the drainage hole, and then let the pot drain freely for several minutes. Do not water in the centre of the pot, instead water around the edges of the pot to keep the tuber relatively dry.

Mini-Cyclamen benefit from bright, indirect light and perform well in a sunny window during winter and spring. However, avoid south-facing windows, which may be too intense. A cool-weather plant that doesn’t do well in temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius, cyclamen often respond with yellowing leaves and decreased blooming. A cool room with daytime temperatures below 20 degrees and night-time temperatures between 5 and 10 degrees is considered best.

You should fertilise Mini-Cyclamen regularly after you have had the plant for about a month. Too much fertiliser will result in lush growth and no blooms, so always feed the plant using a weak solution of a water-soluble cyclamen fertilizer. In order to extend the flowering of your cyclamen you will need to deadhead regularly and inspect the foliage for any faded leaves or signs of disease.
