Cyclamen
Cyclamen are a delightful, tuberous perennial providing colour often when little else is flowering, particularly in late winter or early spring. They are ideal for naturalising under trees, on banks or in a shady border. Cyclamen are not difficult to grow in the garden, provided the site is not overly dry or sunny. They make a particularly attractive show when planted with other early-flowering woodland plants such as snowdrops, winter aconites and primroses. Our EN Coxhead hardy cyclamen give a welcome splash of colour throughout late autumn, winter and early spring and make a welcome addition to any garden.
Winter cyclamen can also make colourful indoor pot plants around Christmas and New Year. To look after your potted cyclamen, make sure to keep them moist without over-watering and if possible, sit your pot in a tray and water the plant from below, so it can take up the water it requires without having to be continuously wet.

Mini-Cyclamen
Our mini-cyclamen grow to between 10 and 15cm high and bloom generously, displaying tiny, vibrant flowers and heart-shaped leaves. They make a good display whether left in the pot, or planted outside to make a winter bedding display.
Ideally planted out in partial shade at 25 to 30 cm spacing, our mini cyclamen can add a splash colour to the garden when little else is flowering.
Mini-cyclamen are well known for having a unique care routine that differs from standard houseplants. Make sure your plant is kept far away from heat sources. This can include direct sunlight, air vents where heat may come out, portable heaters and radiators. It is important to water your cyclamen from the bottom rather than the top and you shouldn’t let the plant leaves or flowers get wet, as cyclamen are sensitive to moisture outside of the root system. Also, mini-cyclamen much the same as large cyclamen, do not require excessive watering, so allow the top of the soil to become dry before watering again.
