Spring Perennials – 9cm Pots
Our wide selection of 9cm spring perennials include favourites such as Achillea.
Achilleas are traditional border flowers valued for their feathery foliage and striking flat, circular heads of flowers throughout the main summer season. They team well with other perennial flowers and are a vital ingredient in traditional herbaceous borders. They’re also at home in island beds, cottage gardens and other perennial planting schemes.
Achillea typically have frilly, hairy, aromatic leaves. The plants show large, flat clusters of small flowers at the top of the stem. Achillea prefers a sunny aspect, and the flowers are generally visited by many insects.
Spring Perennials for Trade Sale – Achillea Cerise Queen
Achillea Cerise Queen is a particularly colourful yarrow, bearing cerise pink flower heads with dark margins and paler colouring towards the centre.
Achillea Cloth of Gold has light green foliage and deep golden blooms. It’s perfect for growing towards the middle of an ornamental border or wildlife garden and is also ideal for growing in gravel gardens.
Achillea Love Parade features deep coloured foliage. Love Parade blooms early summer and through into the autumn, with a good show of pale pink coloured flowers.
Achillea Summer Pastels has beautiful blooms which are a mix of many colours from reds to whites and yellows, and is known for attracting bees, beneficial insects, birds, butterflies/moths and other pollinators.
Spring Perennials – l Litre Pots
Our selection of 1 litre spring perennials feature, among others, the ever-popular Lupin.
Lupins are cottage-garden staples, with bold spires of brightly coloured flowers in summer. Lupins are sun-lovers, so give them a warm, open, bright position. They also like well-drained or even poor soil that is slightly acidic. Lupins are great for planting in bold drifts with ornamental grasses and other tall perennials, such as bearded irises and delphiniums. They make brilliant cut flowers too.
Spring Perennials for Trade Sale – Lupin Mixed
Lupin Mixed will reward you with an ensemble of stunning colours. Pea-like flowers seemingly bursting with colour open from the base of the flower spike over several weeks to give you the most stunning show.
Lupin Blue delivers flowers which are a deep blue in colour, which are shown off on commanding stems and is popular as a cut flower.
Lupin Red will reward you with spikes of brilliant rose-red flowers which can be used as a focal point, planted at the middle or back of a garden border to draw the eye.
Lupin Dwarf only grows to a maximum height of 60cm and can be planted in pots or separately around the garden. To keep them blooming for as long as possible, flowers that have withered should be regularly pruned.
